Mikasa Candles

Cats, candles, and cacti?

Hi,
I have two one year old cats. I was wondering if it was safe to leave out unlit candles and cacti on my kitchen counter. I think cacti thing is probably out of the question (watch that eye!) but what about unlit mikasa candles (variety of scents)?

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Cats are pretty smart and won't fuss with pointy cactus plants...I have several cats and cactus plants and they occasionally share the same patio with no ill effects.

The candle won't be an issue as the cats prolly won't like the smell and will stay clear. I used to let my kitties see a lit candle down in the floor area to see what they would do with it just in case it were a problem. You should try the same experiment. I bet your cat will ignore it and walk away.

Like I said, these cats are smarter than we give them credit for )
